1982 Jeep Scrambler CJ8

Orange with blue and purple flames. YJ Wrangler fenders and cut-down doors were installed during the build, but the integration is seamless so you hardly even notice. The hood was punched full of louvers to help keep the warmed-over small block cool, and fat fender flares are mandatory when you?re running large-by-huge rubber. The owner is also a highly skilled paint and body man, so the finish is not only beautifully done, but it was maintained in show condition despite frequent off-road forays. Heavy-duty front and rear bumpers are mandatory on a rig like this, and the finish quality throughout is extremely impressive. Kudos to the guy for actually hitting the trails with this one! Inside, it?s actually quite comfortable and it?s clear that this one was built to drive. Modern bucket seats were fitted up front, along with a TJ folding rear bench for true 4-passenger capacity. A custom roll cage made from 2-inch DOM tubing was grafted onto the original Scrambler piece, and neatly integrates the spare tire carrier. The original dash still carries factory gauges, but there are a lot of additions to help when the going gets tough, including a tach and auxiliary gauges, as well as an AM/FM/CD stereo with glovebox-mounted amplifier. Thanks to the Scrambler?s extended wheelbase, there?s also plenty of storage out back. There?s also a full black convertible top that makes this beast even somewhat practical if you want to drive it every day?who could resist? Th
